Growing Your Hair Faster
How to Make your Hair grow Faster and Thicker
Thick and healthy looking hair is important to both men and women and there are many factors and reasons why hair loss and thinning occurs.
Hair grows 1/4 to 1/2 inch per month and yes our genes are a factor for the loss of growth and thickness, determined by our parents.
This does not mean that you will be doomed to baldness if you do something about it early enough.
What you do on the inside reflects on the outside of your body and a healthy lifestyle is a necessary for your hair to grow and look healthy.
By changing a few of your daily habits you will start to notice a difference in the growth and thickness of your hair.
Causes for Hair loss and thinning
There are a number of things that could change the way your hair grows or stops growing and as we have established it can be genetics but in most cases it could be due to stress, hormonal changes, poor diet, medication and smoking.
Heat and sun can dry and damage your hair.
Chemicals and colourants also play a role in the damage of your hair.
Brushing and lack of conditioning will also cause damage as our hair is very sensitive and fragile. We need to take care of our hair just as much as any other part of our bodies.
Straighteners, curling irons and dryers can damage our hair, leaving it brittle and thin.
Washing your hair everyday also does more damage than you think as you are getting rid of all the natural oils that your hair produces and requires.
Avoid shampoos that say they will thicken your hair and look at the ingredients: if it has sodium laurel or laurel sulphates in it, these are used in dishwashing liquids and are way too harsh for our hair.
Do you use any of these products thinking that they are healthy?

Treatments for Hair Growth
Olive oil and a honey mixture is a good treatment for your hair. Mix the two ingredients together and massage it into your scalp gently. Put on a shower cap as it does get messy and allow it to stand for a few hours or better yet, overnight. Shampoo your hair afterwards as normal and enjoy the instant feel of healthy and nutritioned hair.
You should give your hair a treatment once a month and if you are in the sun often, then conditioning your hair must be a part of your routine once per week.
Finding the right treatment is important and you should look for ones that have natural products in them.
Eggs, yoghurt and honey are also a good way to treat your hair.
For thin and limp hair use half a cup of flat beer, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and a raw egg. Mix them together and apply to clean damp hair. Leave it in for 15minutes and then rinse it off with cool water. The wheat, malt or hops will leave a protein residue in your hair which will strengthen your hair. This treatment can be done once a week.
Coconut oil can be used on a daily basis and this will provide essential proteins for nourishing dry and unhealthy hair. It also prevents dandruff.
Foods to Make Your Hair Grow Faster
Yes, what you put into your body is what you will get out of it. Eating nutritious foods will help with growing your hair and making it thicker.
A healthy balanced diet is important and eating nutritious foods will defiantely ensure that your hair and your skin will be healthy.
Protein: Fish, chicken, legumes and lean meat.
Omega 3 fatty acids are essential and should be eaten on a regular basis.
Nuts, avocado and olive oil are also extremely healthy for your hair.
Vitamin B is important and you can get this in fruits and vegetables.
Supplements for Your Hair
A great product that I have found is "Nu Hair." It is a supplement that you take every day and it wil show results after 3 months of use.
Supplements must contain biotin, fish oil, protein and vitamins.
Kelp is a great source for healthy and thicker hair.
Although supplements do help, you need to know that you have to eat healthy and provide your body with natural nutrients and vitamins in the fruits and vegetables that you eat.
Trim your Hair
To make sure that your hair grows thicker you need to trim it every six weeks!
An inch every time will do the trick and your hair will grow faster this way. If you haven't trimmed your hair for a while then a good few inches should be cut off in order to let it grow thicker.
This will ensure that the split ends are taken off to allow for growth to continue and it will make your hair healthy from root to tip.
Prevent Stress
Get regular exercise and eight hours of sleep to avoid stress as this is one of the biggest causes for hair loss.
Find something to help you unwind and destress. Cardio exercises or even a walk every day will help you to unwind and feel good.
Once you can find a way to destress and live a healthy lifestyle, you will be one step ahead.
